This legendary Australian band has been around since late 1984 and still cruising along today.

It all started in 1984 when they released their first single Gimme Some Loving, getting together via the ABC tv show Sweet and Sour. By mid 1985 their official lineup was complete, and what a lineup it was: ex-Riptide Cal, ex-Angels Chris and Buzz, ex-Alien Geoff and brand-new-unheard-of-before guitarist Robbie, with Kay Bee on backing vocals. Their debut self titled album was released, featuring the singles Sounds of Then (This is Australia), Gimme Some Loving, Giver of Life, House of Cards, and The Bigger They Are, and they were on their way... more albums and compilations followed - gangAGAIN, Lingo, The Essential, Oceans and Deserts, This is Australia... and their wonderful DVD (all 4 hours of it!) The Complete GANGgajang.

As one of the very few iconic Australian bands from this era that has stood the test of time, they have continued to create great new music and to tour with a kick-arse live show with their original lineup, all these years later!

This page is for anyone who has been inspired by the GANGgajang's music, anyone who has been touched by their classic Australian soundtrack "Sounds of Then (This is Australia)", anyone who has been blown away seeing them live over the years, those of you who still have "GANGgajang" on vinyl, and for those of you who are still surfing and watching your old copies of Mad Wax all these years later..... and their wonderful loyal fans in Brasil, and the new generation of fans who've discovered them in recent years via the radio, their older brothers and sisters, their parents.
