Party: CALLAGHAN

Girl can write. Girl can sing. Girl can play. Callaghan, oh Callaghan, sing me back home!” Aquarian Weekly (USA)
Join us to celebrate the release of Callaghan’s new album!
Originally from Lincolnshire, Callaghan moved to the US in summer 2010 to record and tour with Shawn Mullins. Since then she’s been busily carving out a career for herself and winning fans all across the USA.
Back home in the UK the BBC’s Bob Harris has been a strong supporter, regularly playing her music on both his Radio 2 shows and describing her as “a wonderful artist.... beautiful, warm
and hugely talented”. Callaghan performs live on piano and guitar and delivers a stunning vocal which earns frequent comparisons with artists like Sarah McLachlan and Emmy Lou Harris. Her songwriting chronicles the stories, experiences and emotions which are part of everyone’s lives.
A long-time Shawn Mullins fan, she contacted the Atlanta singer-songwriter through MySpace, and after being knocked out by her music he agreed to produce her debut album, Life in Full Colour. It released in summer 2012 to a great reaction. The Huffington Post described the album as “joyful listening”, while InLiveMusic simply said “Callaghan’s voice is stunning”.
Since then Callaghan has been on the road touring with artists including Shawn Mullins, Ed Kowalczyk, Matthew Perryman-Jones, Jake Shimabukuro and more performing hundreds of shows in 46 states. She’s now headlining at venues across the USA.
Now part of the Nashville singer-songwriter community, she recently appeared in the BBC Four show Bob Harris My Nashville, and performed live in the companion show Back to Beth’s: A
Nashville House concert alongside stars such as Beth Nielsen Chapman, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires.
Her new album A History of Now was was produced in Nashville by Dennis Matkosky. The new record showcases Callaghan’s gift for melody and impactful songwriting in a collection which
ranges from uplifting, exuberant anthems to poignant, mesmerizing ballads. A History of Now releases on April 12 in the UK and will be available at this show. For a free five song introduction to
