Hey E&M Community! Looking for a fun night off before exams start? Then join us for our first MEMS Mixer! Need a reason to come? We’ll give you 5.

1. Socialize and mingle with your fellow Engineering and Management students
2. Meet your new MEMS executive team
3. Share your suggestions on how we can improve next year
4. Free food and refreshments
5. Get the opportunity to join the MEMS team for next year (OPTIONAL - see details below)

How is the night going to unfold? We’ll have an open social for the first portion of the night followed by introductions to the new incoming executive team and pitches by those interested in joining the MEMS team. Following the social we will be having an “unofficial” social at Emerson 109 so if you are unable to make it from 6-8 grab some friends and meet us there afterwards!

Information for those interested in joining the MEMS Team:

The available positions are as follows:

Management Representatives – Act as a voice for the Engineering and Management student body and support MEMS initiatives (help plan professional and social events, promote events, etc.) (Multiple positions)

Webmaster – Keep the MEMS website updated, assist VP Marketing and VP External with posters/promotions for MEMS events and fulfill Management Rep responsibilities (1 position)

Sport Chair – Organize sports teams among Management students and fulfill Management Rep responsibilities (1 position)

VP External – Responsible for finding external opportunities for Management students (such as conferences and competitions) as well as sponsorship for the Society. Act as primary contact for all persons external to MEMS, such as alumni, sponsors and guests. Work with the Webmaster to update the website with information about such opportunities and deadlines. (1 position)

VP Marketing – Responsible for developing a promotional strategy for all events and activities as well as developing and maintaining all MEMS promotional materials (posters, MEMS display board, Facebook Page, OscarPlus, website). Work closely with the Webmaster to design, develop and create posters and update the MEMS Website. (1 position)
