Are you interested in learning to sail? Have you often seen people out in their boats and wondered what it might be like? Well the opportunity is here for you to try it out at Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club.
We run an Adult Introduction to Sailing Course every May (22nd to the 27th incl.) and we dedicate a full week of sailing to budding trainees. We also get great satisfaction in introducing new people to the sport we love and we keep it simple, fun and friendly! The majority of the course is spent on the water helping you to start learning the ropes. No experience in sailing is required.
It’s no exaggeration to say we get as much satisfaction from introducing new people to our sport as they do experiencing it. Every May without fail we dedicate a full week of our sailing time to budding trainees and it never disappoints.
No boring lectures. No endless land based drills. No dictionaries full of yachty terms to make your brain bulge. Nope. We keep it simple, fun and friendly and we spend the vast majority of our time on the water helping you learn the ropes. The soup and rolls when you come ashore are the stuff of folklore and we pride ourselves on creating a learning environment that makes you feel like you’ve sailed for years.
