Party: BURNING DUCK COMEDY CLUB MAY FEATURING BEC HILL

BEC HILL is an Australian stand-up, writer, presenter and actress. Her acclaimed solo shows and hugely popular YouTube videos, which have garnered close to 200,000 views globally, have gained her a cult status in both Australia and the UK, where she is now based.

She has a talent for incorporating arts and crafts into her stand-up routines; creating a unique and unforgettable comedy style that she calls “paper-puppetry”. This, along with her positive attitude, has made her a sought-after performer worldwide, for both adults and children.

‘Exuberant, daft and inventive.’
★★★★ Scotsman

Our support comes from rising comedy starlets

Sam and Tom!

An anarchic double-hander made up of comedic wunderkinds Tom Burgess ‘coldly psychotic’ (Chortle.co.uk) and Sam Nicoresti ‘u suck’ (Lucas Bird, YouTube.com). In principle they'll be rocking up to knock out some skits, argue amongst themselves, talk about their time as famed child stars (Nickelodeon, 1997) and generally nail the gig. In a previous life, Sam and Tom! were part of award-winning sketchers Staple/face, winners of So You Think That’s Funny? 2013. ‘Comedic brilliance’ **** (ThreeWeeks). ‘Something very different and exciting’ **** (Forge Press). ‘Giddy, immature … surreal and funny’ (CounterfeitMag.co.uk).

Also introducing Dan Triscott who York Press recently said "had the audience in awe both at his witty marriage of trashy TV with classical music, and his singing skills." at York's newest new act/material night 'Stand Up and be Social' (next night May 4th)

Plus MC Si Beckwith, a Newcastle based stand-up comedian and writer, with a passion for storytelling, silliness, shenanigans and alliteration.

"A fantastic host with an effortlessly warm approach to audience participation. " – Freshly Ground Comedy

Why not come along and find out why last weeks headline Phil Kay act described our night as

"A delightful celebration of humanity, on a Tuesday night"

And there will be more yummy Copper Dragon Cake for people who sit at the front, made with yummy Copper Dragon Beer :)
