As far Creation Myths go, reversing Bob Dylan’s famous retreat into the wilderness on the back of a motorcycle accident is a pretty compelling way to kick off a band - and that’s exactly how the story goes for Black Thistles.
Forming after their current drummer’s 2-wheeled accident gave them a new lease of life and time to hone their jangly, riff-driven rock, their sound balances teenage impudence with melodic riffs clattering together in a way that brings the same fresh, eager excitement you felt at The Strokes or Arctic Monkeys - all distinctly in their own voice.
