Let's raise lots of money again this year for Pudsey Bear!
Children in Need at Burton Rugby Club on the evening of Friday 17th November from 6pm
On the night, the Under 7’s, 8’s, and 9’s will be playing against Barton on Peel Croft. Inside the club house there will be lots of fundraising activities to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need.
If you’re having a clear out before Christmas, please remember to put aside any old toys, dvds, gifts that can be used for the raffle or tombola.
For the past eight years Burton RFC has raised over £9,000 for Pudsey Bear to help Children in Need. The evening is now a permanent fixture in the season calendar playing against our local neighbours Barton Rugby Club in a series of friendly fixtures. Our Mini section continue to drive the event forward to become bigger and better each year. We have lots of fun and games for the children to take part in, along with a cake stall, tombola, raffle, welly wanging and face painting just to name a few! It is always a great night out for all the family, with the bonus of raising some money for a great cause.
But this is where you can help, as one of the major ways we aim to raise money is through a raffle and we would like to invite everyone to donate a prize to help us raise money for this brilliant cause. This could be anything from a free meal for two, gym membership, a money off voucher, free tickets, or a donation of goods, which can be collected if required. All proceeds from the raffle (and other activities on the night) will be donated directly to Children in Need, which will have an impact on many young people’s lives.
This year’s event is being held on Friday 17th November from 6.30pm at our Peel Croft ground and you would be more than welcome to attend and support Children in Need.
Our great Club has been providing rugby for all in Burton upon Trent and its surrounding areas since 1870 and this is just one small way we can help to give back to all the children who aren’t as fortunate as others.
