This year, OpSoc has chosen a charity to support throughout the year and for our first year, our chosen charity is 'Spread A Smile'. 'Spread A Smile' aims to brighten the days of seriously ill children and teenagers in hospital by taking teams of entertainers into paediatric and adolescent wards. They take magicians, musicians, fairies, poets, singers, face painters, artists and the two Pet Therapy Dogs into Great Ormond Street Hospital, University College Hospital, The Royal London and St Mary's, to bring much needed joy, light and laughter to these courageous children and teenagers. They also arrange outings to theatres and concerts to create lasting and positive memories. OpSoc's members chose this charity as they felt it was great and worthwhile cause to donate to.
So, join us for a musical evening in The Rep Theatre at 7.30pm on Monday 26th March for a musical evening as we raise money for this wonderful charity. With live musical performances of musical theatre songs, amd songs chosen by the children involved in 'Spread A Smile', this concert is not one to miss! Tickets cost £8 on the door.
