Pat Mahon will be visiting Cairns and the Cairns Southside Judo Club over the weekend of 18 and 19 November. Pat's schedule is as follows:
Saturday
9:00-10:15 am General Judo class open to everybody (including Malanda Judo Club).
10:30-11:30 am Advanced Juniors Judo Class (advanced yellow belts and above from Cairns Southside and Malanda Judo Clubs).
1.00 pm Swim up at Lake Eacham!
Sunday
From 9.00 am Pat will be spectating our Grassroots Team Challenge at Cairns Southside.
Pat is a highly respected coach, particularly by elite level Judo competitors. He strongly believes in the concept of mutual respect, of strongly supporting his players, and of Canada's Long Term Athlete Development model. Who knows? One or more of our promising young players may one day move down to Brisbane for university or for work, and may choose to train under Pat!
This should be a fun visit by Pat. A chance for all of us to see a different Judo Teachers approach. Also a good chance to show Pat just how special our club is with our strong polite grassroots membership.
