Our thirteenth instalment for 2014 sees the art.haus movement return to Brazil Lounge for a special 'Eid Edition', with guests CAPTAIN TEA & MELLOW X.

With art.haus being at the forefront of Bahrain's underground music scene, expect the usual dose of House, Techno and Disco from the island's quirkiest decknicians.

Dropped sets around the UK, Europe and beyond. From the Ministry of Sound (London) and Mono_Cult (Leeds) to Elvis (Thessaloniki) and Coral Beach (Manama).


ED BUZZERK

art.haus resident

Bahraini Techno, House and Electronica DJ/Producer, Ahmed Zainal (A.K.A. Ed Buzzerk), has been delving in the underbelly of the Bahraini electronic music scene for 15 years – only recently stepping out of the cave. A string of impressive sets at our parties have turned Ed Buzzerk into a firm art.haus favourite.

His releases include the “Groove As I Groove EP,” and various remixes on Next Dimension Music, an Arizona based label, and the sub label to Next Dimension Music (SURGE).

He's back!!! The mad scientist of sound, part-time Nibblatron and Boho Baha architect, CAPTAIN TEA, returns for another art.haus session this week.


MELLOW X

Ex Likwid

This week we welcome on board an art.haus debutant and a veteran of the underground scene in Bahrain.

With residencies and appearances dating back to 1999, X has spun at clubs such as the Edge, Likwid, various legendary after hours venues, and the more recent Lunar events. Known for delivering heavy beats and rumbling basslines, X is influenced by the likes of Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, and Umek. His deeper Techno sets are influenced by the likes of Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice.

Travelling across the southern hemisphere, Mellow X has performed sets as far away as Australia, experimenting with different sounds and styles of music.
