Party: Riddle & The Stars

Riddle & The Stars is a collaborative project between Australian singer/ songwriter Ben Riddle and The Fallen Stars, an Americana duo from Southern California.
They met each other on the "SONGS & WHISPERS" Tour Circuit 07/2013 in Germany, where they shared a flat and about half our tour dates and they really hit it off - musically and personally.

They wrote some new songs together. In 15 days in the studio and they had tracked seventeen songs.
They Went with a less is more mindset.
The last Fallen Stars album was very much big drums, and lots of guitar and organ on everything. Ben's last album was mostly him and his acoustic & his amazing harmonies and polyrhythmic beats so they all really wanted to find the common ground, the space between.

They found their sound. Call it Indie/Americana/Alt.Folk if you want.

Riddle & The Stars ist ein Kooperationsprojekt zwischen dem australischen Singer / Songwriter Ben Riddle und The Fallen Stars, einem Americana -Duo aus Süd-Kalifornien.
Sie lerntenn sich auf der Songs&Whispers Tour CIRCUIT 07/2013 kennen, wo sie sich eine Wohnung und etwa die Hälfte ihrer Tourdaten teilten. Sie verstanden uns auf Anhieb super, sowohl musikalisch als auch persönlich. Daher war es sehr naheliegen gemeinsam einige neue Songs zu schreiben.
Die Formation hatte in 15 Tagen im Studio siebzehn Tracks aufgenommen.
Sie gingen mit einer „Weniger ist mehr – Denkweise“ an das Album heran. Die letzte Fallen Stars - Platte war geprägt von vielen Trommeln und viel Gitarre und Orgel auf allem. Bens letztes Album war zum Großteil akustisch plus seine Stimme (und seine erstaunlichen Harmonien und polyrhythmischen Beats ).
Sie wollten den gemeinsamen Boden, den Raum dazwischen finden.
Sie fanden ihren Sound und nannten ihn Indie/Americana/Alt Folk.
