DRAWING CIRCLES as an Acoustic Band combines melodic and filigree influences with rock backgrounds. Vincent Alex (Vocals), Sebastian Lesch (Guitar) and Manuel Krzyzniewski(Percussion/Drums) tell stories and lessons in critical review of themselves and their environment. Part of the meaning of DRAWING CIRCLES has become trying not to conceal the struggles one might suffer from or the mistakes one has made.

Biography

It was in August 2011, when Vincent and Sebastian met up to jam together for the first time. A flood of ideas immediately led them to initiate this project, which they very soon decided to call “DRAWING CIRCLES”. After defining their sound and gathering material, they kicked off with their first concert in January 2012, a self-organized evening in a launderette. From that point they got to play in various contexts, like the final rounds of SchoolJam, single concerts in NRW and around Germany as well as supporting for example “OMAR RODRIGUEZ LOPEZ”, “DRY THE RIVER” or the “EVERLAST” Tour in Winter 2012.
Along that path, their Debut “Tales of an Arsonist EP” was released in September 2012. With its concept being a personal story of a man who loses everything on his behalf, told in a narrative way, it is physically distributed in form of a handmade letter. “We are amazed and thankful for how warmly our EP was received so far and we’re looking forward towards the future of our band and music.”

After two years of counting two members, Vincent and Sebastian are more than glad to welcome Manuel Krzyzniewski as their Percussionist and Drummer. Once they got to know him after their support-tour in winter, they invited him to join them for a few shows in autumn and soon were very sure that he is the right addition to the project. Vincent, Sebastian and Manuel are looking forward and are excited to finally call DRAWING CIRCLES a band.
