The horrors of Gilligan’s Asylum are known to few. The mentally ill were often locked away, never to be seen again. Well intentioned beginnings gave way to all the nightmarish trappings of an asylum; straight jackets, solitary confinement, electroshock therapy and the horrendous ice pick lobotomy. The doctors and nurses often resorted to some barbaric measures to 'cure' their patients of illnesses ranging from syphilis, greediness, laziness, hysteria and other ailments. They removed ribs and muscles, took ice picks to the patient's eye sockets and electrocuted some into comas.
Many patients died at the barbaric whims of medical practices. Others tried to escape. Do you dare to enter The Asylum this Halloween? Just remember, NOBODY LEAVES.
